Tokodoki products are fast becoming a craze. I wouldn’t be surprised since I have my own Tokidoki products like a t-shirt, a bag, a watch, and several cosmetics. What I like most with Tokidoki products are the cute designs. Each product has a unique cute design by Simone Legno—his designs are “a sunshiny world of smiling flowers and rainbows, that doesn’t ignore the bad in human nature that lurks in the form of bullet and devilish chili pepper imagery, though even death — a character named Adios — looks cute”—according to the Honolulu Star Bulletin. Tokidoki products are so popular, fakes are on the rise. So if you spot a Tokidoki bag, makes sure you’re getting the real thing. The heart over cross bones is the global tokidoki trademark. A new line of bags have been released and I can’t wait to grab one! Check out Tokidoki and see how “fun” it is to own one.

A few years ago, Tokidoki was a personal website of Italian artist Simone Legno. Legno used this site mainly for display of his art. In early 2003, the co-founder of Hard Candy Cosmetics happened to have browsed his site and instantly fell in love with his art and the unique and playful concept of Tokidoki. Immediately, they contacted Legno and flew him from his hometown, Rome, all the way to Italy. Legno accepted the amazing offer along with the idea of moving to Los Angeles for good. Since then, Legno has become business partners with Pooneh Mohajer Arnold and Ivan Arnold. They strongly believed that Tokidoki’s concept was a brand worth sharing to the whole world. To date the brand has become a fashion legacy most especially to the younger ones. Read the rest of this entry »
